5-Day Kauai Itinerary around Hanalei Bay

1. Day One: Hanalei Bay & Puu Poa Beach

Wake up early at our oceanfront condo and head to Hanalei Bay. The soft sand and gentle waves make it a top North Shore beach. You can swim, paddleboard, or learn to surf in calm water. Pause for a photo under the Hanalei Pier and say aloha to Bali Hai in the distance.

2. Day Two: Limahuli Garden & Hanalei Valley Lookout

Spend day two among green valleys and taro fields. First, tour Limahuli Garden & Preserve, part of the National Tropical Botanical Garden. You see native plants, canoe gardens, and ocean views peeking through palm trees.

Day three is for two hidden gems in Princeville. Leave early and drive to Queen’s Bath. Follow the steep trail to a natural lava shelf tide pool. It is best at low tide on calm days.

4. Day Four: Tunnels Beach Snorkel & Kīlauea Lighthouse

Enjoy a day in the water on day four. In the morning, snorkel at Tunnels Beach. Your condo provides free snorkel gear and masks. You glide over coral reef teeming with tropical fish and sea turtles.
